Illinois Agriculture History Lecture!!!!  Tom McMurren from the Illinois Agriculture Historic Preservation Society will present a lecture on the very rich local Agriculture History, including Browns Corn Planter, May Company, Avery Brothers Tractors, Frost Manufacturing, Colton & Company.  Also included facts about John Deere, Cyrus McCormick and others.  Held on the second floor of the Galesburg Public Library, there is an elevator.  This lecture is FREE!!

The Easter Bunny is coming to Sandburg Mall!!!  The Easter  Bunny will be arriving at the Sandburg Mall Center Court on Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21, he will be back to see the children in center court on Friday, March 26th until Easter.  The schedule is: March 27th noon-8, March 28th noon-5, March 29th thru April 3rd noon-8, Carrot breaks from 2-2:30 & 4:30-5:15.

On Monday, March 29th and Tuesday, March 30th customers can bring their pet for a photograph with the Easter Bunny.  Customers must make an appointment at the Mall Customer Service Desk.  Pet must be on a leash or in a carrier prior to entering the Mall.  For information on photo prices, please speak with an Easter Set associate.

Galesburg Civic Art Center's Annual National Juried Exhibition.  The 2010 exhibition is juried by Jim Richerson the President of the Lakeview Museum in Peoria, IL.  All different media will be on display for your viewing pleasure.

Galesburg historian Tom Wilson will give a talk on: Knox College During World War II: Pilot Training and aldo a Former Knox Student's Involvement in John Brown's attempt to take over Harper's Ferry Arsenal.  This talk is sponsored by the Civil War Discussion Group and is FREE and open to the public.

Join the fun as we celebrate St. Patrick's day at Discovery Depot Children's Museum.  Make a leprechaun puppet and take him along as we parade through the museum, snack on Shamrock cookies and play some games.  Anyone is welcome to join in and spread some Cheer!!

Second in the Carl Sandburg College Concert Series.  The Steve Duke Trio brings together the talents of saxophonist Steve Duke, pianist Kelly Brand and bassist Kelly Sill to form a unique collaboration in jazz.  The trio performs standard and original works and has a sophisticated rhythmic and lyrical style.  The members of the Steve Duke Trio are among the top solo artists in the country and have performed and recorded with jazz luminaries such as Ella Fitzgerald, Joe Williams, Joe Henderson and Stan Getz.

March is Red Cross Month and the Western IL Red Cross in Galesburg is having an Indoor Yard & Bake Sale.  There will be something for everyone, furniture, clothing, toys and much, much more.  Come find that special treasure you have been looking for while helping the area chapter of the Red Cross.

Spoon River Flyers RC Aircraft Show!!!  Test your flying skills at the Real Flight G-4 Simulator!!!  Show will feature WWII fighter planes, bi-planes, sport planes & much, much more.  The First 95 children in attendance will receive a free plane giider.

The Galesburg High School Jazz Showcase featuring Guest Artist Kevin Malley.  The GHS Jazz showcase is an evening of music performed by the GHS jazz bancs and jazz combo.  This year's guest artist is GHS alum Kevin Malley.  Tickets are available in advance by calling Brie Shadensack at the Galesburg High School 343-4146 or bshadensack@galesburg205.org   Tickets will also be available at the door.

"The Violin," FREE Knox-Galesburg Symphony concert preview for preschool through 5th grade children.  It will be presented by Huej Chiang, KGS violin soloist.  The program is co-sponsored by the KGS and Friends of the Galesburg Public Library in cooperation with Galesburg School District 205 and is open to the public.

Knox-Galesburg Symphony concert featuring Carled Coll as guest conductor and Huei Chiang on violin.  The KGS and Chiang will perform Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto Opus 35.  The KGS will also perform Puigsoliu by Joaquim Serra and Mozart's Symphony Nr. 41, Jupiter.
